What's covered?

Liability damage to others

Covers injury or property damage you cause while driving, the requirement of all car insurance in Germany.

Accident damage to your car

Our comprehensive policy covers repairs to your vehicle after an accident, even if you’re at fault.

Theft & break-ins

Covers the theft of your car or damage caused by attempted theft or break-ins.

Glass damage

Covers repair or replacement of windows and windshields. Repairs are often possible without paying your deductible.

Vandalism

Protection if your car is intentionally scratched, damaged, or destroyed by unknown third parties.

Battery & charging accessories

Covers damage to an electric or hybrid car’s high-voltage battery and theft of the charging cable when properly secured.

What isn't covered?

Commercial or delivery use

Cars used for delivery services, ride-hailing, or other commercial activity aren’t covered under private policies.

Wear & tear or mechanical breakdown

Repairs due to normal aging, worn parts, or mechanical failures aren’t included unless caused by a covered event.

Improper use or gross negligence

Damage caused by reckless behavior, like driving under the influence, is not covered.

Items inside the car

Personal items inside the vehicle (laptops, bags, etc.) aren’t covered by car insurance, unless damaged due to a covered event under specific conditions.
