What are the advantages of private health?

Private insurance gives you more control over your benefits, a smoother care experience, and better value for your money than public insurance. It is valid for all visas and residency permits.

More affordable than public

Since private health insurance takes on customers based on their health, it is more affordable than public health insurance, especially if you sign up when young and healthy. Once signed up, your monthly rate is protected from age-related increases.

Faster appointments and better coverage

Doctors reserve appointments for patients with private insurance. This makes access to healthcare easier. You also get better coverage than with public insurance, like dental and vision care, and access to private hospital rooms.

Getting older won’t affect your price

Your premium is based on your age at the time of sign-up. While rates adjust over time due to general healthcare inflation, the long-term average annual increase (2005–2025) was 3.1% for private insurance, compared to 3.8% for public insurance.
