Home insurance in Spain from €8.33 per month

The following individuals are considered insured under your home insurance policy, as long as you include the total number of cohabitants while signing up:

1. The policyholder: the person who signed the contract.

2. Family members living at the insured address, this includes:

• Relatives (e.g. spouse, children)
• Unmarried partners registered in a public registry
• Domestic staff who live with the insured

While payments are charged monthly, your dog liability insurance is valid for one year from the start date. It renews automatically unless you let us know at least one month in advance.

You will simply need to submit a claim within your Feather’s account. We will do the rest.

Yes, you are covered both at home and outside your home, but the type of incident and whether force is involved matters. Whether you’re at home or outside, the main factor that determines coverage is the presence of force (like break-ins or assault). Theft without any sign of force is generally excluded.

1. Inside the home

• Robbery and burglary is covered. This includes incidents where there is forced entry, violence, or intimidation. Example: A thief breaks your window and steals your laptop: this is covered.

• Theft without force is not covered. Example: Leaving a door open and someone sneaks in.

2. Outside the home

• Robbery is covered, if there is violence or intimidation. Example: Someone snatches your phone from your hand using force — this is covered.

• Theft without force is not covered. Example: Pickpocketing, losing your bag, or unattended items being stolen typically do not qualify.

Yes. We cover damage caused by natural events such as water leaks, fires, and storms—provided they are not classified as extraordinary. Extraordinary events are also covered but handled directly by the Insurance Compensation Consortium (Public disaster risk insurance entity). These include flooding, earthquakes, sea surges, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, winds exceeding 120 km/h, and falling celestial bodies.

The Consortium also covers violent damage resulting from terrorism, rebellion, riots, or civil unrest, as well as actions taken by the military or police during peacetime.

Yes. Single rooms cannot be insured. If you live in a shared household, you will need to have one policy to cover all the belongings and can split the cost with the household members.

To cancel your insurance, simply get in touch with us.

• Once the policy starts, if you want to cancel, you have 14 days from the start date to do so, with a full refund.
• After that time, if you wish to cancel, you may do so, but you will have to pay in advance for the remainder of the year.
• Before the end of the contract year, you must give us at least 1 month's notice to cancel, otherwise the insurance is automatically renewed.
