Both can cover you for a Philippino visa, so the real question is: What matters most to you?
AXA offers 13 plans and optional add-ons to configure your policy. Feather gives you two clear plans: one built for affordability, one for extra cover. If you enjoy fine-tuning every aspect of your benefits, AXA is for you. If you'd rather make one clear choice and get on with your move, that's what we built Feather for.
You want a visa-ready cover you can understand in one sitting and set up online in minutes. Two plans, one decision: Essential from €56/month for affordability, Plus from €84/month for higher limits.
Emergency coverage in the USA for up to 60 days per year is built in, not sold as an add-on.
You want to build your policy piece by piece. AXA offers 13 plans plus optional modules.
If you know exactly what you want covered (and what you don't), that flexibility is hard to beat.

Both meet the minimum level of hospital cover we recommend. The difference is how you get there. With Feather, everyday care (outpatient visits, diagnostics, medicine) comes built into both plans, so there's nothing to configure and nothing to miss.
With AXA, what's covered depends on the plan and modules you choose. Some configurations include outpatient care; others don't. That's real flexibility, but it means you've got to get the details right, one at a time.

Our policies are online, but our support is reassuringly human. With Feather, you can reach a real person in English before and after you sign up (no policy number required).
AXA's support depends on which AXA you buy from (yes, there's more than one): their global arm and their Philippine business run separate teams, products, and processes. If you move, you might need to use other support channels.

With 13 plans and optional add-ons, AXA's price depends on what you build. So instead of comparing every combination, here's the lowest each of us goes in the Philippines:
The Essential plan starts at €42/month, with a €1,000 annual deductible (meaning you must pay €1,000 in medical bills in a year before reimbursements kick in). That plan covers outpatient treatment (care you receive without staying overnight in a hospital, such as GP visits, specialist visits, and lab tests).
The Foundation plan starts at €32.33/month, with a €2,550 annual deductible (that's €2,550 in medical bills per year before reimbursements). That plan doesn't cover outpatient treatment (you'll pay for GP visits, specialist visits, and lab tests on your own, and it won't count towards your deductible).
Plans from €42/month. Set up online in minutes.
We’d rather you find the right cover. Here’s where AXA has an advantage.

Thirteen plans, optional modules, adjustable deductibles... AXA lets you shape your policy piece by piece. If you'd rather fine-tune every benefit yourself, that flexibility is theirs to offer.
AXA's highest tier, Prestige Plus, carries a higher coverage ceiling than our Plus plan. If money's no object and you want the maximum limit available, it's hard to beat.
