How to use international health insurance?

Visit the doctor

Identify yourself at the doctor's office or hospital and explain that you have private international insurance. You have a free choice of licensed medical professionals and facilities worldwide.

Documents

Collect the bill

Your doctor will issue an invoice to you. In contrast, you can ask hospitals to bill your insurance directly.

Submit the bill through your account, and you'll be reimbursed.

We pay 100% for consultations, operations, and diagnostic tests like MRIs or CT scans.

Prescribed medication

100% of the costs for medicines and dressings prescribed by your doctor are covered.

Dental emergencies

We cover 100% of dental treatments for pain relief, including root canals and fillings.

Ambulance

Ambulance & rescue

Includes 100% of necessary transport to the hospital and up to €10,000 for search and rescue.

Pre-existing conditions

Any illnesses or symptoms you had before applying that were not disclosed and accepted by us.

Waiting periods

While most treatments are covered immediately, there is a 10-month waiting period for childbirth, psychotherapy, and tooth replacement, and a 2-year waiting period for surgical vision correction such as LASIK.
